Jump to the full entry & travel map Phnom Penh, Cambodia We arrived back into Phnom Penh after another seven hour journey by taxi, over bumpy red dust roads, passing trucks, motorbikes and bicycles overloaded with goods, produce and people hanging on for dear life along the way. One poor girl had so many bags of fruit and vegetables balanced on her scooter that she had toppled over and couldn't get up again! Dean, along with our taxi driver, came to her rescue and picked her up, got her balanced and sent her on her way again. It was all we could do to lift her up. We were not sure what would happen when she had to stop again. We found a nice hotel in a quiet area of the city with a swimming pool, much needed as this being early March, Cambodia has just entered the hot dry season. We acted on a tip given to us by an American guy living in Phnom Penh that we had met at the elephant sanctuary which was to get up early and do our sightseeing first thing in the morning. He advised us that by 11am we needed to be settled in somewhere cool and not to move again until 4pm! This proved to be a useful tip and we heeded his advice. While we were there, we visited the Royal Palace and also went to the Tuol Sleng Museum, the former school which was taken over by the Khmer Rouge in the Seventies and turned into Security Prison S-21. Coming from a Codemasters press release concerning the new Formula One game heading to HD platforms… …The arrival of the HD editions of FORMULA ONE follows Codemasters’ extremely successful launch of F1 2009 for Wii and PSP, which became a top five best seller throughout the past holiday period.
