This blog comes courtesy of my longtime friend, Patrice of Sikeston, Mo . Although we didn't grow up together, I feel as if I have known Patrice all my life. I met her through my friend Nancee, who I have known all my life or at least since she was 5 and I was 6. As in years old. Nancee and I grew up in Charleston, Mo. She met Patrice in college at Cape Girardeau and that's when I met Patrice. So that's the history. And when a long time friends asks something, you respond. Or in this case, write a blog about it. What I didn't know about Patrice is that her husband, Bruce, is a fan of Michael Connelly . And this was Patrice's quandry: "Question. I'm looking for a new author for Bruce. He has read almost every Michael Connelly book. I have tried a few different authors however, I haven't found one he likes as much as M.C. Any suggestions for an author similar to Connelly?" Well, I love to answer questions like that and as you might imagine I get asked it a lot. And, yes, I always have a answer. (By the way, Patrice, Connelly's next novel The Brass Verdict comes out in October. I have read it. I have filed my review. And that's all I am going to say...for now.) One of the few things I like about a certain Web site on which you can order books is that it often states "Customers who bought this item also bought".
