By: Simon Holloway , Practice Leader - Process Management & RFID , Bloor Research Posted: 7th August 2008 Copyright Bloor Research © 2008 This is the first in a series of articles I shall be producing based on a major piece of research being undertaken by Bloor Research on the BPMS market. My thanks go to Dale Skeen, Vitria's CTO for the recent Briefing. Readers of IT-Analysis and IT-Director may remember an article I wrote in March 2008 at the time of the release of Vitria's new BPMS product M 3 O ( Are you ready for M 3 O - Vitria's new BPM offering? ). For those of you who didn't here is a quick resume. Vitria was founded in 1994 and was the first company who moved from EAI to BPMS; in Vitria's case in 1998. The original product was BusinessWare and M 3 O was introduced at the beginning of 2008 as a next generation BPMS tool. In addition Vitria offers Business Process Applications (BPAs), which are specialised solutions for industry-specific problems in the Telecommunications and Healthcare/Insurance sectors. These products combine Vitria's Business process integration capabilities with pre-built content. Vitria has a heavy penetration in the Telecoms market with 8 of the World's 15 telecoms and 85% of large US Telecoms. Other key customer areas are Financial Services and US Healthcare. What about M 3 O? M 3 O combines BPM with Web 2.0 with event processing. Vitria's objective was to provide a richer user experience with better ...

Oh, ouch! This is going to leave a mark. No doubt we'll now be seeing the humility tour fresh on the heels of the Obamessiah hubris tour we just witnessed. This man transcends time. He wakes up every morning on November 5th. Why wait for a pesky election. Perhaps his aides are scouring signed something or others to disqualify his competition, just as he did to win for the first time in Chicago. Barack Obama has long been his party's presumptive nominee. Now he's becoming its presumptuous nominee. Fresh from his presidential-style World tour, during which foreign leaders and American generals lined up to show him affection, Obama settled down to some presidential-style Business in Washington yesterday. He ordered up a teleconference with the (current president's) Treasury secretary, granted an audience to the Pakistani prime minister and had his staff arrange for the chairman of the Federal Reserve to give him a Briefing. Then, he went up to Capitol Hill to be adored by House Democrats in a presidential-style pep rally. Relax, Obamaniacs. Even as I write, Obamaides are sequestered in a bunker plotting how they can now present Obama in all of his God-like humility. This election may just be fun to watch, after all. ...

Along the way, he traveled in a bubble more insulating than the actual president's. Traffic was shut down for him as he zoomed about town in a long, presidential-style motorcade, while the public and most of the press were kept in the dark about his activities, which included a fundraiser at the ...
