within the first few minutes of palin's speech my phone started to light up with text messages. I could instantly tell that my liberal friends (and there are many) were nervous. palin the future president and next vice-president of the United States had something to say. the messages started with simple admissions like "she's doing well." As the humored filled speech unfolded my text messages increased. "she's doing well" became "wow." The evening ended with scared muses and hostile phrases like "we still have 2 more months" and "but how many hockey moms could there actually be in america." the liberals were scared. How could one speech completely change their mind and make them go from laughing at Palin to fearing her? Palin was confident, funny, real and 100% American. Their whiplash over the last 48 hours was made more evident by the media's simplicity and their group think about Palin. Wolf Blitzer's bias came out like I've never seen.....he and CNN gambled that Palin was going down so they piled on her all day over the last several days. They questioned the "vetting process" and her qualifications -- they decided she wasn't up to the job. They reported on each other reporting about the rumors. It was a media circus made for CNN television. As US Weekly stories became worthy of political commentating, the frenzy about Palin's pro-life stance became straight-faced diatribes that questioned her parental skills. Grown feminists w ... ST. PAUL, MN.--In an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer on "The Situation Room," Obama top strategist Robert Gibbs on Wednesday has harsh words for Sen. Joe Lieberman, the Independent Democrat who addressed the GOP convention Tuesday, attacking Barack Obama for not--contrary to his assertion--reaching across party lines. GIBBS: It's actually -- it's pathetic what Senator Lieberman did here last night. He can pick whoever he wants to. But do everybody in this country a favor, don't walk out on stage and make things up about another candidate because you can't fill your air time thinking of good things to say about the candidate you've decided to pick. Wolf Blitzer, CNN ANCHOR: Robert Gibbs is a senior adviser to Senator Obama. He's here in St. Paul watching this convention unfold. Robert, thanks very much for joining us. ROBERT GIBBS, OBAMA SENIOR ADVISER: Thank you for having me, Wolf. How are you? Blitzer: Good, thank you. Gloria Borger is joining me in the questioning, as well. Let me play a few sound bites, some of the direct attacks on Senator Obama, from last night, and we'll get you to respond quickly to each one. Here's one that Senator Fred Thompson leveled against the Democratic nominee. Listen to this. (BEGIN VIDEO CLIP) FRED THOMPSON (R), FMR. PRES. CANDIDATE: The Democrats present a history-mak ... On Monday’s The Situation Room, CNN anchor Wolf Blitzer interrupted a back-and-forth discussion on the presidential campaign between Democratic strategist Donna Brazile and CNS News editor-in-chief Terry Jeffrey for a live video feed of rock musician Bruce Springsteen at a Barack Obama campaign rally in Michigan: "I want both of you to stand by because Bruce Springsteen is singing right now at a Barack Obama rally in Michigan, and I can't help but want to listen a little bit. Listen to ‘The Boss.’" Just before this mid-conversation interruption, Jeffrey made a point about how "there's a lot of people in this country who believe the media wants Obama to be elected president, and part of doing that is tearing down Sarah Palin." It’s kind of funny that Blitzer helped Jeffrey prove the first part of his point only seconds after he made it [see video at right]. Earlier in the discussion, at about 50 minutes into the 4 pm Eastern hour of the CNN program, Blitzer brought up new CNN poll numbers that indicated that the number of people who think Sarah Palin is qualified to be president has dropped since early September 2008. He asked Jeffrey, "Why has it gone down?" Jeffrey then made his first point about the media bias: "I think since Sarah Palin has been nominated, she's taken quite a beating from the liberal press." He then described how he thought those poll numbers didn’t matter, and that "quite frankly, I think if she was at the to ... Source: www.libertymaven.com --- 20 days ago

I watched Tina Fey’s parody last night on SNL of Sarah Palin being interviewed by Katie Couric (Amy Poehler). It was truly funny and I’m glad Tiny Fey agreed to reprise her role as Sarah Palin. I hate to bring this up again, but Wolf Blitzer was worse last night than he has been previously. They were talking about Obama's acceptance speech, which I thought was excellent. The confetti and fireworks were over, and someone on stage started some sort of closing prayer. Now, I'm not a religious person. And I don't like mixing religion and politics. But if people are praying, you should be respectful. And most of the CNN talking heads were - someone suggested that they all shut up for a minute. That lasted for all of two or three seconds before Wolf started talking again! And about nothing! He was sending everyone to CNN.com for more information. Wolf Blitzer needs to be reminded every single day that anyone with good enunciation can do his job. Just because he's well known does not mean that he's important. The day robots can read cue cards is the day that Wolf Blitzer is redundant. ... Source: thenewliberty.com --- 25 days ago
