Running Vista Home Basic SP1 1G ram. Have a 130G folder containing 220 AVI files. Win Exp takes 2+ min to display the directory, even though I've set folder options to display only icons. Is there another way to speed up Win Exp, or do I have to live with it? ...

Someone on here seemed to have a similar problem, with Windows Explorer closing after about 5 seconds. I recently got the xp antivirus 2008 on my pc and the problem seems to have stemmed form there. My Mcafee completely missed this and failed to find anything on a full scan.
