This is the simplest possible salad, using Walnuts found in the market and sweet delicate mache - otherwise known as lamb's lettuce - from the garden. It would make an elegant first course. ... Source: wonkette.com --- 9 days ago
Here’s John McCain — who we hope never gets cancer again, BRIDGET — explaining his little operation this morning: “I, as I do every three months, visited my dermatologist this morning. She said that I was doing fine. (She) took a small little nick from my cheek as she does regularly and that will be [...] ... Source: www.crn.com --- 22 days ago
Michael Dell is set to appear in a motion picture this summer called "The Sno Cone Stand Inc.," in which he plays himself. The film stars ex-Sopranos' star Tony Sirico and Morgan Fairchild and is described as a light-hearted comedy about three twenty-somethings in Austin, Texas, who hate their boss (Sirico) and take up selling the flavored ice. ... Here’s a new “biographical” ad from John McCain, where we learn — get this — that while a bunch of hippie anarcho-pinkist fags like 7-year-old Barack Obama spent five years mud-fucking on the AIDSy grounds of Woodstock in the 1960s, McCain was at a subprime torture hotel in Vietnam. The ad concludes with a number [...] ... Source: wonkette.com --- 35 days ago
Nobody is too enthused about this whole McCain deal, and time is slowing to a crawl as the Voting Public and News Media realize they need to pretend to care about this until a week after Halloween, which seems like 10,000,000 years away, and may never happen anyway, because of the Nuclear War with Iran [...] ...

We all know it's supposed to be the most important meal of the day, but many of us consider coffee to be a sufficient breakfast -- maybe with a little toast -- or we skip it altogether. But Walnuts' breakfast and Sunday brunch may end your shunning of the day's first meal and put you on the path to Hobbit-like hankering for not just one, but a "second breakfast" as well. ... “What on earth are you doing, Fiona?” I was sitting on the floor on a large plastic sheet, wearing rubber gloves and stabbing green Walnuts on an old bread board with a carving fork. No wonder Tessa was intrigued. I’ve been desperate to get my hands on some green Walnuts for years. About 10 days ago I [...] ... Source: www.cookiemadness.net --- 16 days ago
Having been to San Francisco only once and seeing a fraction of the sites I’d intended, I don’t have a lot of great tips. But here’s one. If you like food and are planning on staying at a hotel rather than with friends, pick a hotel with a kitchenette or better yet, consider [...] ... Source: www.lowcarbfriends.com --- 17 days ago
This is for those of us who can eat an occasional banana. It is basically Dottie's Pumpkin Pound Cake with 2 bananas instead of the cup of canned pumpkin. The carb count (using liquid splenda) would be around 72 carbs. You could get 9 nice servings out of this. Banana Almond Cake with Walnuts I made this whole thing in my food processor. 1 1/2 cups almonds or almond flour 2 ripe bananas 1 cup granulated Splenda (or liquid splenda) 1 tsp. vanilla 1/8 tsp. salt 5 eggs 1 tsp. cinnamon 1 tsp. baking powder chopped Walnuts (optional) 1/2 cup Preheat oven to 325 and spray a 9 or 8 inch cake pan. Okay..if you are using almonds, then process them in the food processor for about 30-45 seconds until fine and add the other ingredients one by one, incorporating them after adding. Just add the ingredients in the order given. If you are using almond flour to start with, just add the flour/bananas/splenda and incorporate, then add the rest of the ingredients. Mine baked for 25 minutes and was done. If someone was using a bread pan, it would take longer, I'm sure. Cool on a rack and then make some cream cheese frosting of your choice.. Basically: 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened 1/4 cup Splenda or Davinci's SF syrup 1/2 tsp. vanilla Mix frosting and spread on cooled cake..Sprinkle some chopped Walnuts on top of the frosting for a nice touch. ... When the USDA placed “fats, oils, and sweets” on the top of the food pyramid in 1992, they certainly had candied Walnuts in mind.
