Less than a year after launching Omnifone's MusicStation subscription service in September 2007, Vodafone UK is debuting another mobile music application--VodafoneMusic, which enables subscribers to preview songs for free as well as purchase a la carte their favorite tracks for over-the-air download to their mobile devices. According to Vodafone, the service is fully integrated with its RealNetworks-powered Vodafonelive! Music Shop and promises a more user-friendly interface featuring an enhanced visual library enabling subscribers to browse for tracks using a "Smart" search option that brings up options automatically, complete with 30-second song previews. Users may also search for and purchase album art and browse the latest charts for new releases, top downloads and local sales charts.
