Photo by Kathryn Yu Who hasn't listened to M83 and started dreaming up cinematic scenarios to accompany all that dramatic grandeur? Well here's your chance to turn those dreams into synergetic audiovisual realities: your pals here at Pitchfork are thrilled to announce a music Video Contest for M83's next single off Saturdays=Youth , "We Own the Sky". You know how these things work by now: create an original clip for the track in question, upload it to the Contest's official YouTube page , and keep your fingers crossed. M83 mastermind Anthony Gonzalez himself will choose the winning piece, which will premiere on Pitchfork.tv early next year. How about the roller rink hijinks of Eva Husson's gorgeously choreographed "Kim & Jessie" Video ? You only have until January 20, 2009 to do it, so make haste! That "We Own the Sky" single, meanwhile, is due from Mute in early 2009. In addition to the lovely title track, the CD/LP/digital download offering also includes a previously unreleased jam called "Je Vous Hais Petites Filles" and a remix from M83's labelmate Maps that you may have heard before . M83 are in the midst of a North American tour, and will see firsthand just how goshdarned popular Kings of Leon are over there in the UK and Ireland come December. They've also added a lone London headline date smack dab in the ... Source: www.medicalnewstoday.com --- 5 days ago
