Something you might’ve missed on the Ubidays 2008 event back on May 28th was the below “10 Years of Tom Clancy Games” trailer. Not only does it briefly show past games, it also touts hints at unannounced upcoming Tom Clancy games with the line: “The Future Will Be Explosive.” The CGI footage shows Rainbow Six: [...] ... Today Ubisoft held their annual Ubidays pre-E3 conference. What did Ubisoft have to show for the Wii? Another friggin Raving Rabbids game and Shaun White Snowboarding. Meanwhile the PS3 and 360 get Beyond Good & Evil 2 and Prince of Persia. I can certainly understand why BG&E 2 is not being developed for the Wii if the trailer [...] ... Last week, me and Ash from GameSpot UK headed to Paris to attend Ubidays, and our video documentary is now up on GameSpot. Also check out the site for my previews on Soul Calibur IV, Brothers in Arms: Hell’s Highway and Far Cry 2 on Xbox 360. ... Source: www.guycocker.com --- 49 days ago
In case you missed it last week, we were at Ubidays covering off the French publisher’s 2008 schedule. All the previews can be seen on GameSpot (shameless plug: check out Far Cry 2 and Soul Calibur IV!), but in the meantime here’s a particularly nice shot of our video editor Ash underneath the Eiffel Tower. ... Tom Clancy's Ace Combat 6... A strange thing happened at Ubidays 2008. Two very distinct conversations played out in the HAWX booth - one a love letter to the graphics, controls, missions and handling; the other a sneer at the angular planes, clunky ... Source: www.gamespot.com --- 45 days ago

America, your PlayStation Store offering for the week was pretty poor, but you're excused. It's a long weekend, you're out drinking and celebrating and letting off fireworks. But Europe? July 4 means nothing , so you have no excuse. Unless you lot were hanging out for Commando 3 or (the admittedly great) Space Invaders Extreme demo, all you're going to find are the usual assortment of wallpapers you'll never use and trailers you've already seen online. When Ubisoft didn't show Splinter Cell: Conviction at its last event, people worried a little about how the game might be doing. Fear not — the game's doing great. So great, they say, that Ubisoft just decided it'd be better off releasing it as part of its "2009-2010" lineup instead of in this year's fiscal fourth quarter. You know, to "bolster" next year, as the company said in its fiscal first quarter results statement. Signs at Ubidays seemed to suggest that the game was undergoing a reworking , though Ubisoft's reps were specifically vague on details. We also heard that a "way too egotistical" Michael Ironside would no longer be returning as the voice of Sam Fisher. ... Source: kotaku.com --- 40 days ago
British Gaming Blog takes a look at the highly anticipated games that weren't demoed at E3, and the titles would form an impressive show unto themselves. If only. All Points Bulletin. Tekken 6. Indiana Jones and, I mean really Ubisoft, no Beyond Good and Evil 2? Quoth BGB: Ubidays 2008, Ubisoft announce Beyond Good and Evil 2 with an enigmatic, minimalist trailer. The fans go wild. E3 2008, Ubisoft announce Party Babies for Wii. Girls aged 5-12 go wild. Agreed. Probably the biggest no-show of the whole conference, the Bungie/Halo game fiasco notwithstanding. While many of its titles were previously shown at Ubidays press events, and in some cases last year’s E3 Media Summit, Ubisoft used this year’s show to debut its new Prince of Persia redux. And the Prince has never looked better. “He's a new prince,” said Ben Mattes, producer of the game at Ubisoft. “We look at this franchise like Tales of 1,001 Arabian Nights. He's a rogue warrior on a quest to save the world. In fact, when the game starts he's not even a prince.” read more ... Source: www.gamersyde.com --- 44 days ago
The nice developers of Ubisoft Montréal took some time for us with a developer walkthrough of Far Cry 2 and here is the first part of it, played on Xbox 360. The mission is quite similar to the Ubidays demo, but it has a much better AI and a finally stable framerate. More importantly, the player is far more gifted than last time, and it changes a lot. Following parts will come soon. ... Source: www.evilavatar.com --- 21 days ago
As UbiSoft already statet at the Ubidays a while ago their target was to keep the requirements for the upcoming *Far Cry 2* as low as possible. Now they released the final requirements which are indeed pretty moderate. A good CPU and a lot of memory seems to be more important as a highend... ...
