When disaster strikes, they're ready to respond. Monday night in Rollette County was no exception. The Mid-Dakota chapter of the American Red Cross prepares volunteers to respond to natural disasters, so when the Tornados tore through Belcourt and Rolla Monday afternoon, help was just a phone call away. So far the Red Cross has provided over 5 thousand dollars in assistance to the families affected by the tornadoes and in order to be prepared for the next disaster, the red cross is already asking for Donations. Then we have interviewers that go up and interview the client and they are able to give them monetary assistance to buy their basics of food clothing and shelter. Unfortunately that all takes money, so were really relying on the general pubic to help us out and donate back to there community through us. For more information on ways you can help you can call the American Red Cross at 852-2828 / 1-800-323-3179 or mail donations to P.O. Box 456 Minot, ND 58702. ...
