I just got an HTC Mogul 6800 for Sprint PCS and I am having a few issues with it. I will start by saying that I have connected it to the internet and ran Windows Update and it says my software is fully up to date. I am using the latest ROM version 2.09.651.3. BUGS This phone is buggy as heck. The voice dial app locks up all the time, and most of the other software locks up a fair amount too. Many times when I receive an incoming call the screen will come on and will display the "Incoming Call" message but the ringer will NOT ring. This is BY FAR the biggest problem I have with the phone. The only way I have found to fix any of these bugs is to manually remove the battery and reinsert it... But after a short time the bugs will come back (mainly the ringer not sounding off). BATTERY LIFE This phone sucks battery life like you wouldn't believe. I have to make sure to keep a charger with me wherever I go. I keep one at my house, at work, and in the car. My friend has this EXACT same model phone for AT&T and he easily gets up to 2 full days of battery out of his phone. - I turned off the GPS feature in the phone and keep the Wi-Fi turned off. - Bluetooth is turned off. - I periodically check task manager to stop any/all unneeded apps from running. - I recently bought a brand new battery for it and while it helped a little bit (I might get an extra hour or two out of it) it still required constant monitoring to make sure it stays charged. - ...

In the case of the Touch, the Windows Mobile 6.1 update includes Sprint Navigation, EV-DO Rev. A, integrated Opera, and a new on-screen QWERTY keyboard, so it seems more than worth the few minutes you'll spend downloading it and getting it all going. The Mogul gets Sprint TV (yay?), but unfortunately, no patch to magically morph it into a Touch Pro . Seriously, we'd pay good money for that. I just got off the phone talking to my brother who is an unhappy Sprint customer today. He has a Sprint Mogul Windows Mobile-based smartphone that he is quite happy with. It does everything he needs and as his first Windows Mobile phone has surprised him how capable it is. He's been using it now for a few months and even though he's not a tech junkie like me he has gushed about it every time I've spoken to him about it. Until today. It seems that he found out somewhere that Sprint has a Windows Mobile 6.1 upgrade for the Mogul and after researching it online he decided that the additional functionality of WM 6.1 was something he could use. The problem is he is a regular consumer and not a business customer. It seems Sprint is telling him that the upgrade is only for business customers and they won't let him have it since he's just a regular guy. Say what? How does it make sense that how a customer is classed by Sprint should have anything to do with getting the update or not? The update exists, it is being provided to business customers but not to regular consumers? Why did they sell him the phone in the first place if they weren't going to provide him updates for it? Needless to say senseless policies like this have my brother rethinking his business relationship with Sprint. ...
After HTC America had briefly posted information about the Windows Mobile 6.1 updates for the Sprint Mogul this morning, WMExperts has reported that the update was removed in favor of a Monday launch.
