by: John Yan NEWS - For those that can't read Japanese , Namco has announced the fighting title has sold 2 million copies so far. A most impressive feat I might say. I've been playing Soul Calibur IV for a few days now and I think it's a pretty fun game. The graphics are sharp and the create a fighter option is fun. I'll have more once my review is out but so far I'm digging it. Yoda does have a slight advantage over others since high attacks go right over his head. Thanks Kotaku . Comment ... So I've taken a break from Soul Calibur IV to play some Live and PSN shooters that both have the ability to wear your eyes out quickly. I actually got Super Stardust HD (PS3) a few weeks ago and it's a blast. The game is surprisingly challenging (even on Normal) and each level is really long. The inclusion of trophies added a lot to the game because there are some cool but really hard challenges to accomplish in order to achieve those trophies. I've only completed 3 of the 5 planets so far. The fourth planet's bosses take a long time to kill and it's really tiring. It's pretty brutal, imo. The weapons are cool and unique and the ability to boost into enemies is a very useful tactic. Overall, fantastic shooter with a lot of depth and challenge. I also got Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved 2 (360) last night. Wow, what an upgrade! The game is more colorful, much harder and the new modes are a lot of fun. The various modes really help keep the game fresh and are all very addictive. I found myself constantly retrying in certain modes. I love the music for each mode and I really like the new remix for the original Retro Evolved game in Evolved mode. Nice touch. I did pretty well for my first day. I got the Millionaire and Phobia achievements pretty quickly. My next goal is to try to beat all the high scores in my friend's list. Some of the guys in my list have insane scores. Ausser GIGA gibt es in Deutschland bislang nicht viele TV Sender, die sich mit unserem Lieblingsthema beschäftigen (ich kenne keinen sonst). Der IP-TV Sender Game-TV ist völlig kostenlos, hat Xbox 360, Wii, PS3 und PC Games abgedeckt und gegenüber konventionellem Fernsehen einen entscheidenten Vorteil: Alle Sendungen liegen automatisch direkt nach dem Senden in digitaler Form vor. Somit erübrigt sich ein Aufzeichnen und das Programm kann nach eigenem Gutdünken gestaltet werden. Heute Abend, den 07. August 2008, werden Soul Calibur IV (Xbox 360) und Bejing Olympia 2008 (PS3) einem ausführlichen Test unterzogen, dabei bekommt jedes Spiel satte 45 Minuten spendiert. Die Reviews laufen im Rahmen der Sendung “ Konsoleros ” (schon über 50 Folgen online verfügbar), die jeweils Dienstags und Donnerstags von 21:00 bis 23:00 Uhr “ausgestrahlt” wird. Natürlich hat Game-TV noch etliche andere Formate im Programm, die Webseite bietet dazu ausführliche Informationen. Besonders die bisher scheinbar unregelmäßig ausgestrahlte Sendung “ Was Mädchen spielen ” sei an dieser Stelle hervorgehoben. Zum einen, um dem Beitrag ein optisches Highlight verpassen zu können und zum anderen, weil wir Frauen gerne bei allen möglichen Aktivitäten zuschauen, am liebsten natürlich beim Spielen.
