From Jason: The Redskins and punter Ryan Plackemeier have agreed to terms on a two-year deal to replace rookie Durant Brooks, according to sources with knowledge of the situation. Plackemeier, who punted two years for Seattle while Jim Zorn was the QB coach there, was released by the Seahawks after one game this season, suffering through injury in the preseason. Plackemeier, 24, and veteran Josh Miller were the finalists among the four punters who auditioned today, sources said, and both fared well. He, like Durant Brooks, won the Ray Guy Award in college - Plackemeier at Wake Forrest. Plackemeier averaged 40 yards per punt in 2007, and 45 per punt in 2006. We all have an important decision to make the November, and no it is not whether to go to your In-Laws on Thanksgiving, or just not answer the phone when they call.  It is about voting, voting for the next president for the United States.  I am sure that both candidates want your vote, but one seems to be putting his face in place you are likely to see it.  Where?  Why on billboards in Burnout Paradise of course.  The Democratic Presidential candidate is using his well of funds to advertise on the virtual cities signage, encourage us to Vote Early.  It is nice to see a candidate use this form of advertising; to me it sends a message.  It says that he cares about what gamers think, and using our medium to show it.  It doesn’t feel like pandering.  Then again maybe that’s what wants us to think, so that when he gets in office he can ban all games not about blue hedgehogs.  Via GigaOm ...
