In-game advertising? Oh what the hey, it's still Shaun White. It's his game, after all, and he's been Target's promo athlete for quite a while now. Eventually, you're bound to see something like this down the road: a Shaun White Snowboarding Target Edition. Mmm hmm, Ubisoft 's announced a Target-exclusive special edition for the PS3 , Xbox 360 , and Wii versions for Shaun White Snowboarding . The game gets more content and a couple other new features, one of which is (drumroll please) Target Mountain - one huge mountain to snowboard on to your heart's content. Then there's also, ahem, Target Chalet where you and some other snowboarding can chill in between boarding sessions. The virtual clubhouse is actually built after its real-life counterpart in Aspen, where Shaun and his other Target boarders hang out. Still no details about the price for this Special Edition, buuut, US 5 pre-sell cards are already available at Target. Release date: sometime this winter. Business week writes: "To launch its alternative sports title Shaun White Snowboarding, Ubisoft is trying an alternative approach to the traditional videogame ad formula. The French game-maker will spend $10 million to run a series of nontraditional media buys leading up to the title's Nov. 16 launch. Anyone watching South Park's first two episodes will find the game nearly impossible to miss. For the series premiere Oct. 8, Ubisoft bought out all of the ad inventory and will run three separate two-minute spots for its flagship Shaun White Snowboarding, Prince of Persia and Farcry 2 titles. The second episode will feature only ads for Shaun White Snowboarding." ...

To date, we've only been able to motivate ourselves to post about its use of the Balance Board and the inclusion of mighty Target Mountain , coated daily by artificial snow machines and values . Target will carry an exclusive special edition of Shaun White Snowboarding that features exclusive in-game content, the retailer announced today. Packing an extra mountain, more characters and the Target Chalet (pictured left), the Target-only Special Edition will sell for a $5 premium over the regular edition, and will be available in PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii form. Those extras will not be released as downloadable content and can only be found in the Target-only release, a PR representative clarified to Shacknews.
