Republicans historically won presidential elections through branding as the party of experience — and John McCain’s selection of Palin for being a heartbeat away from the presidency undercut that strategy, Newsom asserted. “I think she’s very impressive,” Newsom told The Sentinel. “Make no mistake about it. “She’s an impressive person, and I think she has a very bright future.
