Exercise JEBEL Sahara is an annual Overseas Training Exercise held at Camp Ram Ram, 10km north of Marrakesh, Morocco jointly undertaken by the Royal Gibraltar Regiment (RG) and the 2eme Brigade d'Infanterie Parachutiste (2BIP) of the Moroccan Army. Also taking part are elements of 18, 27 and 33 Sqns Royal Air Force, and staff of the Welsh Guards. Both Regular and TA Companies of the RG take part in the exercise. The first phase of training consisted of a live firing and Peace Support Operation (PSO) package. Both packages ran for three days each and both G Coy and 2BIP conducted this training over a six day period. The majority of the 'dry' training, with blank ammunition, was conducted 30km north of Ram Ram, in the mountainous area of Sidi Bou Othmane.
