Deviating slightly from the norm this week, Yahtzee decided to take a look at the process of producing a videogame-centric webcomic. It’s hilarious as always, particularly when you take into account the number of ways in which he (in)directly bashes one particular comic. (Hint: it’s not Penny Arcade.) I’d recommend reading this and this if you want a little more backstory on what some of the jabs in there are at, but it’s not really necessary. And so it ends. Goodbye, E3 2008! You were fun in parts, confusing in others and disappointing in many. Actually, disappointing in most . Few important announcements, almost Zero new game announcements and a pair of very missable keynote addresses will see this go down as one of the "worst" E3s in memory. Maybe it needs to move, maybe it needs to go altogether, who knows. It needs to do something . But enough navel-gazing! Yes, I know that's all sappy and crap, but it's true. I can't imagine what I'd rather be doing for the day. Sure if I took a week or two off I could come up with a HUUUUUGE list, but the day? Blogging, gaming, chatting... sounds like fun. I spent yesterday reminiscing with my Mom about my early childhood for some reason. We were on the phone for like two hours talking about things that happened when I was growing up. My childhood was NOT uneventful. Two most interesting facts? 1. I remember once finding a human heart on our lawn in Thailand. I don't recall finding a human leg out there. My mom insists it turned up one day and that our maid called the nearby hospital asking them to fetch it and then stored it for them by tucking it away, hip-down, in a flower pot. 2. Square Enix’s Dragon Quest V for the Nintendo DS has debuted at the top of the Japanese software charts with a whopping 644 000 copies. Japan-only Wii version of Resident Evil Zero has been dated for, well, Japan. The GameCube port will hit The Land of the Rising Sun July 10th and will retail ¥4,190 (US $TK). You know, one good thing about these Wii ports is that they're pretty cheap. Even though it's Japan-only at the moment, if it sells, you can bet your ass Capcom will release it elsewhere. Maybe in your town, too!
