I have a large amount of data that I need to transfer (~80-100GB). Uploading over my current connection would take upwards of a month at full throttle. I was wondering if anyone had heard of colos or data centers allowing people to walk in, plugin a laptop, and upload over their pipes, akin to an a la carte/on-demand upstream solution. Studios and publishers don't benefit from the sales of used games, just ones fresh off the shelves. Finding a way around this, three new games are offering exclusive content - but only once per copy of the game. Meaning that if you want the exclusive content, you'll have to buy yourself a new copy. Penny pinchers beware! Oh wait, that includes me. I hope this trend doesn't catch on. The three games to offer once-only exclusive content are Gears of War 2 , NBA Live 09, and Rock Band 2 . These games will offer a one-use download code with new copies of the game. These codes are not available for sale on any of the consoles' respective online services. You really have to buy the game - unless you find a used copy whose code hasn't been used yet. Yeah, like that'll happen. Gears of War 2' s one-use download code will give you five additional multiplayer maps pulled from the original Gears of War. Epic games describes them as their "special gifts [for] our loyal fans." Repeat: these won't be available through Xbox Live. Rock Band 2 ( Xbox 360 , PS3 , Wii ) will offer a one-use code that will yield 20 free downloadable songs for all three consoles. The game's AC/DC Live: Rock Band Track Pack also has a code that will export the expansion's 18 tracks to Rock Band or Rock Band 2. Are you an investor with rental properties, but only seem to be getting people to put in applications that have bad credit? Don't let this keep your investment properties empty! I have some investors who cater to this type of client and don't have problems because they put safeguards in place that not only keep the rent coming on time. They also have rents that are above the market prices for the area, and not by just $25 or $50, we are talking hundreds higher per month. How are my investors able to do this? They advertise a home for rent, but never mention how much the rent is! They tell the clients that call that they base the rent on how much they are willing to put down, and their credit score. Most people with bad credit that have been turned down by others are willing to put any amount down and pay any amount per month to avoid being homeless. One of my investors charges 3 months worth of rent as a deposit and $400 per month more than the next highest home in the area because these renters have been turned down by everyone else and were about to be homeless! Even if they don't pay, he has the rent and can give them a 30 day notice. But, you know what? In the past year they have never been late and they are happy as can be, because they were given a chance.
