Filed under: Misc. Gadgets A chic London restaurant and bar called Inamo is making patrons' dining experiences digital by projecting colorful menus and aesthetic patterns onto touch-sensitive tabletops. When browsing, patrons can preview the food as if it were on the plate in front of them -- only flatter, we suppose. They can also order their meals, look up neighborhood services, and select one of seven visual vibes without ever interacting with carbon-based lifeforms. Inamo isn't the first automated establishment we've seen, and this sort of table menu tech isn't new -- but the futuristic panache is hard to beat. Hit the read link for more pics. InFocus continues to push out business-friendly Projectors with the launch of three new models in its IN3100 range. You know what, I wouldn't mind seeing one of these sitting in my front room. Filed under: Displays , Epson , Projector We'll cut right to the chase -- Epson 's EX30 and EX50 PJs come packing SVGA (800 x 600) and XGA (1,024 x 768) resolutions, respectively, so we won't feel bad just hopping over those amateurs and going straight for the big fellow. The delightfully priced ($799) EX70 boasts a 16:10 aspect ratio, 1,280 x 800 (WXGA) resolution, USB Plug 'N Play video, VGA / HDMI inputs, an SD card reader, built-in 7-watt speaker, and 2,000 lumens. ViewSonic isn’t just famous for its line of LCD monitors, but has also a hand in the projector market. This time round, we will see three new lightweight Projectors hit the market, specially designed after ViewSonic has listened to what its customers have mentioned throughout their purchase history in order to meet those stringent demands. The three Projectors in question are the PJD6220, PJD6230 and PJD6240, where all three will offer a greater degree of portability with different levels of brightness to suit just about any situation, ranging from the classroom to a traveling salesman who needs to make impromptu presentations while on the road, wherever the potential customers are. Known as the 62 Series Projectors, all three models will feature a native resolution of 1,024 x 768, a 2,000:1 contrast ratio and a brightness of 2,300 (PJD6220), 2,700 (PJD6230) and 3,200 (PJD6240) lumens that help deliver sharp images and natural color no matter where the projector is, even in sunny classrooms. All three models will also feature two 5-watt, built-in speakers, while connectivity options include RGB, composite and S-Video input. ViewSonic also has the interests of the hearing impaired in mind as it features a closed captioning function. To provide convenience and easy maintenance, the 62 Series features a built-in RJ-45 jack that provides network connectivity and technical support remote diagnosis. Filed under: Displays , Epson , Projector Epson's really on a roll, though it's a shame said roll is one that's bordering on putting us into a deep sleep. After pumping out an uneventful trio earlier in the week, along comes three more that are equally drab. The EB S6 and EB X6 check in with SVGA and XGA resolutions, respectively, and both units offer up 2,200 ANSI lumens and 2,000:1 contrast ratios. The savior of the bunch is the EB W6, which boasts a 1,280 x 800 (WXGA) resolution and comes with an HDMI port, SD card reader, 2,000:1 contrast ratio and an integrated 7-watt speaker. All three are available (at least in Australia) for $999, $1,199 and $1,399 in order of mention. [Via AboutProjectors ] Read  |  Permalink  |  Email this  |  Comments ...
