Ive been on birth control pills for about 3 weeks now, and i have gone completely insane. On Monday i went to cash my cheques at the Bank and the Teller asked for ID, I didn't have it on me, so i just snapped and started to scream and freak out and grabbed my cheques from him and told him to fuck off. Took a cab home grabbed my ID and rushed back into the Bank threw the ID and cheques at him and said, "there, are u happy now!!" Realizing that i was going to be escorted out of the Bank by security i apologized and was served anyway, he told me that that kind of behavior is not appropriate and if it happens again i will be refused into that branch. Last night i got waves of emotional terror again and started to cry over my cat that has been dead for over a year i just sat there crying. Then today my boss called and asked me to do something for him and i totally flipped out again. Then i started to cry and freak out about how much i hate my life and my job and that i can't deal with things. I don't know what to do because i don't want to become Pregnant but i so obviously can not be on birth control pills they just make me emotionally insane. ...

Banno was supposed to come home on Friday . But thanks to Friday and Monday being declared holidays, she will come home only tomorrow. In the meantime, I sold kutti yannai. He knew I was trying to lose him and had started acting up lately. The day they came to take him, his battery coughed out and he had to be pushed to get started. Sigh ! I hated to see him go and Bubbles said " don't want red car, wanted only gray car". Meanwhile as I wait for Banno, I have started taking the MRTS to work. And I just realized all the fun I have missed sitting cooped in the confines of an AC car. And of course, the nostalgia of train rides in Mumbai ( I know some may think I am nuts for this very same reason ). Nothing beats the thrill of the wind in your face and watching people go by. Buying roses from a lady with a baby slung on her back. Recognizing the Teller from the Bank and making her acquaintance. Giving up a seat to a Pregnant woman and asking her when she's due. 20 minutes of zipping fresh air, fresh faces, sounds, laughter, introspection versus 45 minutes of mindless traffic, RJ's making trite conversation and the same old boring music. Not to mention actually walking and losing some calories. I must thank the dealer for delaying the new car !!! I may not need her after all. ...

Tuesday (7:30 am) The entire family and our interpreter took a taxi to a nondescript government office on the sixth floor of a building in city center to finalize the adoption paperwork. The 40 by 20 room room was hot, with a row large windows facing out into the street along the left wall. A large conference table dominated the room and official looking plaques and flags adorned the walls, so it resembled a VFW or American Legion Hall--only all the adornments were red. The male director of the orphanage and a female teacher (both in their early 30’s) were already there and a Provincial Government official (a Pregnant woman in her late 30’s) showed up a few moments late. We signed a few documents and then pressed our thumbs in red ink and placed the thumbprint directly over our signature. After the paperwork was done we waited a few minutes for another, higher ranked, government official (a professionally dressed women in her late 40’s) to look over all the paperwork and declare it okay. Thankfully she did just that. Since we needed cash our interpreter took us to a branch of the state owned ‘Bank of China”. We simply wanted to exchange about $100 in cash, $150 in traveler’s checks and take $250 out of our Bank via debit card. The branch had 9 available lines staffed by young workers in smart red (with a little white) uniforms sitting behind bulletproof glass. An Illinois man, pretending to have a gun, kidnapped a motorist and forced him to drive to two different automated Teller machines, wherein the kidnapper proceeded to withdraw money from his own Bank accounts.   4. THE GETAWAY! A man walked into a Topeka , Kansas Kwik Stop and asked for all the money in the cash drawer. Apparently, the take was too small, so he tied up the store clerk and worked the counter himself for three hours until police showed up and grabbed him. 5. DID I SAY THAT??? Police in Los Angeles had good luck with a robbery suspect who just couldn't control himself during a lineup.
