There was drama during qualifying at Bathurst for the team from Albury. A camera that had been set up over the top of Mount Panorama fell, damaging the Team BOC car, which was being driven by Cameron McConville. McConville's teammate, Albury's Andrew Jones says the drama unfolded early in the qualifying session. "Some of the rigging equipment went through the back window of the car, so it wasn't really ideal for qualifying," Jones says. "But we'll be fine, we've got another one-hour practice session today, and really with a one thousand kilometre race, yeah it'd be nice to be starting from poll but your qualifying position is not that important."
