Este es el tercer sismo que se registra esta semana en el país, los dos primeros ocurrieron en Arequipa y Pasco. (Imágen: IGP) Un sismo de 4.6 grados en la escala de Richter sacudió Chincha, Pisco, Ica, entre otras localidades ubicadas al sur del Peru, esta mañana al promediar las 7:29 a.m., según informó el Instituto Geofísico del Perú (IGP). El epicentro del sismo se registró a 20 kilómetros al suroeste de Ica y tuvo una profundidad de 55 km. Además, tuvo una intensidad III en la escala Modificada de Mercali (MM) en Ica y Pisco, mientras que en Palpa se reportó una intensidad de II, el sismo también se sintió en Chincha. Según informó la corrsponsal de RPP en la zona, la población salió presurosa de sus hogares ante el temor de que otro terremoto, como el de 7.9 grados ocurrido el 15 de agosto del 2007, destruya sus viviendas. Hasta el momento no se han registrado daños materiales ni físicos en la población. Ayer, también se registró un temblor de 3.8 grados de magnitud en la escala de Richter en el distrito de Chala, en la provincia arequipeña de Caravelí, mientras que Oxapampa, Pasco, fue afectada este miércoles por un movimiento telúrico 3.9 grados en la misma escala.
