Photo agencies from around the world exhibited their collections at the River East Art Center to hundreds of area creatives who streamed through the venue. Picturehouse organizes the only events of their kind in the stock picture business, bringing together buyers and suppliers of photography, illustration and footage. Rounding out the sold-out floor were over twenty first time exhibitors including Blend Images, Dreamstime, Glowimages, Learning Pictures, Munro Campagna, Schumann & Company, Tips Images, Trunk Archive… Foreign libraries such as akg-images, Axiom Photographic Agency, Fotofinder, picturemaxx, Nature Picture Library, PixPalace, Robert Harding, also made the journey to Chicago, counting on the US market and the current favorable exchange rates to boost international sales. “Our table was swamped this year,” said Danita Delimont of Danita Delimont Stock Photography, a boutique agency specializing in worldwide travel and cultural images.
