Every now and again, I will insert a picture in one of my posts, usually from Photobucket. But usually these photos come out way too large, and I don't want to use up all of poor 'Muu's bandwidth. The Terms of Use for photo hosting sites need to be revised. The term %u2018no nudity%u2019 is a basic phrase that needs to be more defined. When a newborn baby comes into this world, his/her parents are going to take pictures to remember the day and the LAST thing on that parent%u2019s mind is to cover the private parts. It is very sad that these photos cannot be uploaded and shared with family members. I believe that if photos of the natural act of a mother breastfeeding are allowed to be uploaded onto these sites, then the natural act of childbirth should be allowed too. Too many mothers and fathers are loosing these precious photos. The photo you see here is a photo that Photobucket.com deleted (without warning) off of my account. My account is also set to private so no one else could view the photos. I almost lost this precious moment. Please sign this petition if you feel that newborn photos of a child should be allowed to be uploaded onto image hosting sites and that their terms of use should be modified. Register.com has said in a statement that they are currently "investigating the source of the problem" in relation to the DNS hijacking of the photo hosting site Photobucket . Earlier this week, some visitors to the site apparently were redirected to a blank page that had the approximate words, albeit in Turkish, "Is there anyone who remembers us? We thought you forgot us and we decided to remind you again." The problem was identified and fixed within an hour, though the exact duration of the resulting outage depends on the timeout period of the various caches of one's ISP. This attack follows closely in the steps of the May hijack of Comcast's DNS records, and begets the question of just how such attacks could even succeed in the first place. Register.com is looking into the hijack of Photobucket's DNS records that redirected customers to an unrelated Web page this week. "The Photobucket site was down for a very short time and was restored immediately when we became aware of the issue." Roni Jacobson, general counsel of Register.com, said in a statement on Thursday. "We are currently investigating the source of the problem." On Tuesday afternoon, some Photobucket customers trying to access the site were temporarily redirected to a page that appeared to have been hacked by a Turkish group calling itself "NetDevilz." Photobucket discovered the problem within about an hour of when it started and soon thereafter began rolling out a fix. Some customers were able to access the site within a few hours, but for others it took as long as two days, according to the site. The company is urging customers to do a DNS Flush on their computer , as well as reboot the modem and/or the router if they are still having trouble reaching the site. "If this does not resolve the issue, please try again later, as the redirect may still be cached in your ISP's DNS files. Depending on the ISP, it may take up to 72 hours (or longer) for their DNS cache to be cleared (or for it to expire), so you should consider contacting them to see if anything can be expedited," the company said in a blog post.
