I bet Activision Blizzard wishes Sierra didn't waste however many thousands of dollars it spent plastering "Ghostbusters: the Game" on every badge-holding lanyard at Penny Arcade Expo this weekend. Now that the Game is without a publisher after ActiBlizz passed on it following its takeover of Sierra (get the whole story here), it's an expensive ad for a videogame with no release date. Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness Episode 2, featuring a healthy dose of "two-dimensionality," has gone gold. The adventures of Tycho and Gabe will soon continue, as Hothead's comedy-RPG is complete and being prepared for release. The Game is set to release as a digital download on PC for $14.95 and on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15), marking a $5 drop over the price of the first episode. A PlayStation Network release is soon to follow, presumably at the same price. While a concrete release date was not announced, a Game "going gold" usually implies that it will be released soon. Hothead Games has announced that Episode 2 of Penny Arcade Adventures: On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness has officially gone gold for Windows, Mac, and Linux. In addition to that, they have also announced that the Game will be priced at $14.95 (or 1200 MS Points on the XBLA). That’s five bucks less than the previous episode, for those playing along at home — guess the Penny Arcade folks took the bizarre Braid controversy to heart. This episode will pick up where the last one left off, with you, Gabe, and Tycho continuing to explore the strange occurrences in a 1920s-era steampunk society. in that regard, you can probably expect to beat up more mimes and fruit-defiling robots with your mighty rake. “Episode One was a huge investment for us and established a great base from which we built Episode Two.
