As I said last time , I was confident Halloween would serve us well. This is what the table looked like last Friday, when Sega's PR team visited the office and dropped off multiple large bags of treats. The heavy duty, I-must-become-the-favorite-mom-in-the-suburbs-for-four-hours bags. Matt Leone wisely directed them to our table, where we got a part of the treats. (They also brought beer, but that had to go in the fridge. Note to self: get mini-fridge for MyCheats. ) And uh, it still looks like that today. One thing about Halloween and candy is that you tend to completely hate candy afterward, so it's understandable not to see much movement, but we'll see what happens at the end of the week. And not everything is worth grabbing: since this stuff stays in the office over the weekend -- when the AC is shut off -- the Reese's cups, in particular, quickly become a mushy shadow of their former selves. But the Crunch bars do just fine, and they're my favorite! At least we don't have to do anymore shopping for a little while. ... Source: www.comedycentral.com --- 13 days ago

On October 25th it was my honor and pleasure to moderate a discussion panel as a part of “Celebrate Samhain”. “Celebrate Samhain” is an annual event which occurs in Peterborough, New Hampshire, at the Unitarian Universalist Church. It includes workshops, vendors, music – and it features the discussion panel. This year’s discussion panel was “Pagans and the Media”. We started with a definition of how we most want to be represented in the media and included ways to ensure that we are represented as fairly as we can possibly be. This week I’m playing a recording of the panel discussion for you. The audio quality isn’t the best; you might have to crank the volume up. And the tape cuts off about a minute or two short, but I think you’ll get something out of it. It lasts for about an hour and will therefore take up the greatest bulk of this week’s show. I hope you enjoy it! ... Find more results for Pagans on RSSMicro.com |
