Sin embargo y hasta hace apenas unos meses no tuvimos la oportunidad de verificar dichas reclamaciones. La primera CPU en implementar NPT fue AMD en septiembre de 2007 con su nuevo Quad-Core AMD Opteron ( Barcelona) con las extensiones de la Rapid Virtualization Indexing (RVI). En Q3 2009, Intel tendrá en su próxima CPU ( Nehalem ) la tecnología Extended Page Tables (EPT) .
