CALGARY _ Calgary-based Oil and gas companies Nexen Inc. (TSX:NXY) and Bow Valley Energy Ltd. say they have made an Oil Discovery in the U.K. North Sea at the Blackbird well, six kilometres south of their joint venture Ettrick field.The companies said Thursday the well has produced 3,800 barrels of Oil equivalent output a day, based on an average restricted flow rate..Analysis indicates high quality crude Oil in good quality reservoir sands, Nexen said in a release.Nexen has a near 80 per cent working interest in the Blackbird well, while Bow Valley Energy Ltd.
