BOSTON (MarketWatch) -- The World Health Organization has found one of Novartis AG's generic drugs manufacturing plants out of compliance, the Financial Times reported Monday. According to the report, WHO has determined that a South African plant used to make antibiotics for Novartis' generics unit Sandoz has been found deficient on 41 in complying with the agency's "good manufacturing practises" code. Until the situation is rectified, Novartis runs the risk of losing WHO's authorization to sell antibiotics manufactured at the plant, which is located in Kempton Park, Gauteng.
