1) Having played the demo and a little part of the full game of Ninja Gaiden 2, is it worth going back to Ninja Gaiden Black considering i've never touched it? I have kids and they are noisy I also have a tendency to loose focus easily when there is a lot of noise, these to things combined with my love for gaming and desire to not blast the surround system when the kids are in bed leads to the need for a good quality headphone. My first encounter with the Blackbox product range was on the way back from Singapore, I complained about the noise to the editor from Gameplanet and he showed me his headphones. At first I thought they were just another noise maker but when a little switch was flicked on the side of the left cup the deep rumbling of the jet engine disappeared and all that was left was the chatter of an overactive mind. The white noise effect created by the active noise reduction system by Phitek (a New Zealand company) is fantastically effective. Quality of sound is fantastic, I tested it playing games both Ninja Gaiden 2 and Battlefield Bad Company using the headphones meant that I did not benefit from full surround sound but the Stereo quality combined with the intimacy of the headset ensured I didn’t miss any action. I also tried a variety of music, mine and my wife’s. Beyonce and the Black Eyed Peas come out sounding clear, while the active noise reduction combined with the clarity of the sound produced by the headphone meant that 46 and 2 by Tool is as complex deep and beautiful as it was intended. Bass is executed well and the high range noises are sharp and crisp. Comfort ...

After pirates, zombies, killer robots and my editors, ninjas are the most feared and ruthless opponents in the land. And although you play as possibly the world's most deadly man in Black in Ninja Gaiden II for the Xbox 360, this is a game that will leave many feeling more like whimpering whelps than martial arts masters. ...

Filed under: Microsoft Xbox 360 , Action Ninja Gaiden 2 will receive Mission Mode as DLC on July 25, according to a post on NeoGAF . Mission Mode, if similar to the original iteration introduced in Ninja Gaiden Black , drops Ryu into an arena setting and lets him go on a flippin' awesome Ninja killin' spree. There is currently no price attached to the new Mission Mode DLC. The possibility of a Mission Mode should come as good news to NG II players who don't find dressing up Ryu like a Ken doll a worthwhile activity. But, let's be honest, if it's anything like the original Mission Mode, shouldn't it have been shipped with the game or, and we're hoping this is the case, at least be free? As someone who has worked closely with Team Ninja over the years, I opted out of being involved with the review process for Ninja Gaiden II , despite being the series' resident expert, in case anyone thought there might be any bias towards my review. Myself and the staff know that any review I lay down on a game represents my genuine feelings towards it, but why give Internet quarterbacks ammo? That, however, doesn't mean I can't give you an in-depth tour of the game's levels, minute by minute, and so, for those curious enough to endure mild spoilers (there isn't much to spoil as there really isn't much of a plot) , here is what a first run through the game feels like, up to the boss for the sixth stage. The remainder of the my play-by-play through the game's final levels (along with more detailed opinions on how NGII shaped up) will appear on this blog on Monday, one day before the game's official release on June 3rd. Chapter I: * Start with Dragon Sword * Acquire Lunar Staff, switch to Lunar Staff because it's so bad-ass * Charge attacks are insane, and Obliteration Moves never get old * NGII's initial surplus of treasure chests contain not only items, but tutorial tips on how to perform some of the game's subtler moves. * Dead Ninja bodies usually have scrolls on them, depicting a philosophy behind a move you just learned, or other useful information. * Boss: Shadow Ninja Rasetsu, Black Spider Clan boss. * Camera is occasionally tric ...

Well Ninja Gaiden 2 is finally out but is it as badass as I had hoped for. In a word -- YES! The game is an orgasm of juicy blood and kick your ass combat, wrapped in some beautiful graphics that will make you wanna slap yo mama. In fact I'm digging it more than DMC4 *gasp* but then again lets face it, DMC4 was a cakewalk. I have to give props to Itagaki and team Ninja for making the game a bit easier than the first. Black was a game that really tested your testicular fortitude, Ninja Gaiden 2 so far is just giving my balls a warm glow -- so it's still a heck of a challenge but not so much that I want to strangle someone. I can already feel myself getting better, which what I loved about the first game. I'll give more impressions later on. Suffice to say, I'm really enjoying it!~ On my little excursion to Gamestop yesterday I also for some reason decided to make the Gamestop clerks day by pre-ordering 6 games. Star Wars: Force Unleashed Infinite Undiscovery Too Human Bad Company Fallout 3 Gears of War 2 The young man behind the counter was as giddy as school girl. I filled his damn quota, and he even threw my way some more extra free demo crap. Some of that crap is the awesome Fallout 3 soundtrack! On another note I've seen that MGS4 spoilers are all over the damn place, I read them as I have no intention to sit through the game and was surprised at the turn of events that Solid Snakes saga ended on. Don't worry I wont spoil it for anyo ...

The game industry's man in Black, Tomonobu Itagaki, announced yesterday that he was leaving Team Ninja and, also, that he was filing lawsuit against parent company Tecmo. All this is happening just as Ninja Gaiden 2, directed by Itagaki, is hitting North American shelves. In a surprisingly public maneuver Itagaki put out a press release about his departure from Team Ninja and of his qualms with Tecmo head honcho (president) Yoshimi Yasuda. "Before the start of development on DEAD OR ALIVE 4, Tecmo Co., Ltd. had agreed to pay a completion bonus to me for this Xbox 360 title, which I produced. However, when the time came for the actual payment, Tecmo Co., Ltd. went against its previous agreement and refused payment." Being that this payment is 148 million yen (about $1.4M USD) then, if this turns out to be true, then Itagaki certainly deserves the money. Plus he makes rad games and I plan to be playing Ninja Gaiden 2 all day tomorrow. In what should be no surprise to anyone who had heard of it, Kwari has shut down. The site was based around a skill-based game which revolved around business model that required its players to pay real money for in-game ammunition. The idea is that a player could take more money from an individual game to offset the price of ammo and continue this trend through a series of games and become insanely rich by killing other players in rounds of the first-person shooter. For a gimmick like this to work, though, i ...

Filed under: Fan stuff , Videos After playing a few hours of his pre-release copy of Ninja Gaiden II (come one Microsoft, where's our love?), Godfree of Gamertag Radio found a shiny Xbox Easter egg. Hidden behind some wood paneling is what looks to be the prototype for the original Xbox, the shiny metallic box that never came into existence and was instead replaced by the big Black Xbox we've all come to know and love. And seeing that we were unsuccessful in our attempt to Google for an image of the original Xbox prototype, we'll award +5 fanboy points to anyone who can find and link to a legit shiny Xbox image. *Read The Review Here (http://www.driverheaven.net/gamingreviews.php?reviewid=599) ___________________ *Once again Ryu Hayabusa returns to be confronted by the Black Spider Ninja Clan in Ninja Gaiden II, the follow up to one of the most critically acclaimed games on the Xbox. If you were a fan of the original then this is sure to appeal, however don’t be expecting a revoluntary gaming experience. Ryu is certainly no run of the mill Ninja because while most prefer a stealthy hide in the shadows approach our hero is just as happy charging in for a full frontal assault leaving a plethora of corpses in his wake. Across the 14 stages you battle an array of foes ranging from Ninja’s to full on supernatural monsters. ...
