Source: www.conservatives4palin.com --- 2 days ago Yesterday morning, before Governor Palin flew to Calgary to deliver last night's speech , she was in Gates Mills, Ohio. In Gates Mills, which is less than 30 minutes from my home, she attended a private fundraiser for Ohio Right to Life at the home of Cleveland insurance executive Umberto Fedeli. Michael K. McIntyre, at Cleveland.com , provides a brief synopsis of yesterday's event: Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin made a detour as she shook hands and chatted up about a hundred guests at a private Right to Life fundraiser Saturday at the Gates Mills home of Umberto Fedeli. She followed the music, heading out the double doors of the mansion and into the circular driveway where the famous youth choir the Singing Angels were assembled to greet guests with song. They belted out "God Bless America" under a perfect blue sky. "You guys are awesome!" Palin exclaimed. And no, cynics, she wasn't reading from notes on her palm. Singing Angels Founder Bill Boehm made some calls after Tipoff reported on the event last week and the gig was set. Fedeli asked his wife, Maryellen, whether they should invite them. "Of course we want the Singing Angels," she replied. There were no speeches at the event. Palin, with her daughter Piper being entertained upstairs by Fedeli's children, worked her way through the basement trattoria personally greeting all of the guests and a number of GOP statewide candidates. She even popped in to the kitchen to chat with C ...

Source: whatakerfuffle.blogspot.com --- 7 days ago For the past few months, I have been infatuated with the wonderfulness that is Monty Python. I think it’s because I have been on a real nostalgia kick. Everything I liked when I was nine is cool again (Monty Python, the Beatles, Peter Cook etc. and no, I was nine in the 90’s not the ‘60s/'70s). One of my favourite Flying Circus sketches is “Gumby Flower Arranging” starring the fantastic MichaelPalin as D.P. Gumby from the episode “Spam.” I love the Gumbys especially Prof. Enid Gumby. Please click on the cartoon for the full-size. The Screencap was taken by me from my copy of the Flying Circus 16-ton Mega Box Set. Original sketch below (from Youtube). ...

Source: texas4palin.blogspot.com --- 13 days ago * Actor Michael Moriarty, in a Big Hollywood commentary , opines that Sarah Palin is the essence of American identity: Don’t mess with Sarah! That’s the message we wish to send to Red Islam, that disgusting combination of World Communism and Islamic Jihads. [...] English-speaking freedom, ladies and gentlemen, endures no dictatorships of any kind, and the American hybrid of that, Abraham Lincoln’s United States, is in a virtual Civil War with the new version of Red Islam called Progressivism. Progressives are those pro-abortionists who wrap the veil of women’s rights around legalized murder. [...] Since they’ve been getting away with that act for the 36 years of Roe v. Wade, it was obviously time for President Barack Obama of Harvard to show up with his very Kissingeresque long term plans for a Communist Jihadist’s version of a New World Order. Our only complete and infinitely enduring antidote would be President Sarah Palin. You can read Moriaty's editorial in its entireity here . - JP ...

Source: blogs.creativeloafing.com --- 14 days ago Britain, Britain, Britain, your comedy how I love thee. With your bollocks and your bloody this and that, you get me every time. There’s no finer a way to coerce laughter from the pit of my belly. So when The Secret Policeman’s Private Party crossed my desk, I may have gotten a little silly in the knickers. Combining the major forces of British comedy, ranging from Monty Python to Rowan Atkinson to Hugh Laurie ( House M.D. ) and Stephen Fry, should be a United Kingdom laugh factory. Note I used the world “should.” ...
