When I was a guest on the StarPower Podcast, the guys requested a few songs. This was one of them. I remember playing this on the guitar controller (before I injured my finger) and just struggling in those repetitive bridge sections. Well, I still struggle with them. My left arm just tenses up in those spots. I freaked out and lost my multiplier in there (and plenty of other places), but I still got my high score on this run and I just want an excuse to play with my new video editing software :) I went a little gonzo this time with overlays, so let me know if it's annoying. But this is similar to how IBitePrettyHard does it and people don't seem to mind, or maybe even prefer it, since you can see the drumming and the game screen pretty well. But let me know if you hate it. I'm still experimenting. Thanks for checking this out! FAQ: ---- Q: How does it work? A: Everything is explained in detail here: http://egyokeo.com/midihero Q: How do you do 3-note chords? A: All "two adjacent note" power chords are mapped to the top 4 pads, so with two sticks I can play any 3-note chord except GYO. Q: How do you do whammy and star power? A: I use a bass drum pedal on my right foot to activate star power, and a hi-hat pedal on my left foot to control whammy depth. Q: How do you hold notes? A: My MIDI Hero software has an auto-hold feature for every note hit because it's more natural for a drummer to play that way. It's not a good feeling to m ... The Fall feels like a gift of a movie for which we should all send Tarsem Singh a thank you note. When I was in graduate school I took a writing class in which we were assigned to read The English Patient by Micheal Ondaatje. The book is about many things, but the story is driven by morphine; those who are addicted to it and the nurse that dispenses it to them. The story spills out like an addict's fever dream complete with vivid memories... ...

Coming off the holiday weekend, we needed a break from the hard-hitting news figures we usually interview for this weekly column. Most unfortunately, we chose Doug Robarchek as our diversion. Also known as the “OutFront Guy” and “Doug-Bob,” Robarchek wrote the most irreverent, crosses-the-line column the Observer ever dared to publish. Mercifully, he retired in 2005, after 43 years in the business. Not a man to play by the rules, Robarchek has written his own intro, questions and answers. Staff writer Jennifer Rothacker opted to leave it in its entirety, despite her better judgment. Another call from a babe who knows my reputation and thinks I'm the answer to a prayer? Well listen, sister -- you can't live vicariously through me. Don't try to jazz up your own drab existence by prying into my rock-star life. I'm a PERSON, with needs and dreams and feelings of my own. You can't just call any time and expect me to come running. There may be times when I am unavailable. Like at 4 p.m. Saturday, July 12, when I'll be at the office of Main Street Rag, signing copies of my book, “The Best of the World's Worst Poetry – 20 Very Odd Years of OutFrontery.” Besides, like most guys, I hate to talk about myself. But since you asked: I'm a thinker, Jen. A deep, profound thinker, and I don't apologize for it. Now that I'm retired, I read voraciously (man, I can't BELIEVE what Brad is putting Angelina through!) and ponder what it all means. I also ... Source: xml.pixsy.com --- 3 days ago
