According to The Telegraph newspaper here in the UK, British Members of Parliament are kicking up a right old stink about YouTube. Specifically regarding what it does, or more to the point what it does not do, to prevent sexually explicit and violent video clips from being posted. The House of Commons "Culture and Media Committee" says that it is completely unimpressed with the systems that YouTube has in place to filter out sexual and violent content. Surely, the point is that there is no active filtering to prevent the publication of such material. Instead, YouTube relies upon user... ...

Sadly, the public relations team who designed this motto is mistaken. High expectations begin at home. When learners do not have a strong foundation of personal responsibility, lack value for education, and impede teaching and learning processes; we have a problem. And the problem has manifested itself in a disproportionate number of suspensions in MPs. In my view and in accordance with the Council on Great Schools, there is no urgency about improving learner school and classroom behavior. "I must begin with my initial positive experience with the district. I arrived to MPs from the corporate world 12 years ago. It was a career move that was motivated by my desire to help urban youth acquire the tools that were needed for an expanding global economy. My first teaching gig was at Roosevelt Middle School of the Arts, a local arts-based middle school where academics were equally vital. Learners wanted to be there as evidenced by their immersion in theatre, dance, visual art, computer art, ...
