Emirates is to add another A380 to its London Heathrow route from 1st July this year, making the popular superjumbo experience more widely available to passengers. The airline brought its own brand of double-decker, equipped with an Onboard Lounge and Shower Spas, to the British capital in December 2008. Do you want to sit for the New York Bar Exam without spending three years in an American Law School? Now you can. But you're not going to be saving a whole lot of time, and we're not sure if you're going to be saving any money. The Lawyer reports that the College of Law has made a move to accelerate the time it takes for U.K. lawyers to get licensed in the U.S.: The College of Law (CoL) has announced plans to offer the New York Bar Exam to UK students, allowing them to qualify as American lawyers without having to complete a training contract. Full-time GDL students who go on to complete CoL's Legal Practice Course (LPC) or Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) will be eligible to sit for the New York Bar Exam following an additional 22-week study programme. Previously UK non-law graduates would first need to qualify as a lawyer in the UK and then complete an LLM degree in the US before being able to sit the New York Bar Exam. The program is also open to people educated in the U.S., though it doesn't look like you'll save a whole lot of time hopping across the pond and back ... In one of those sometimes-the-news-is-more-odd than funny stories, French artist Céleste Boursier-Mougenot has created an art installation in The Curve , Barbican, London, in which 40 zebra finches fly within an aviary lined with electric guitars and other instruments. Whenever a bird lands on the instrument, it makes a noise. People then go to see the birds make noise, and this singular event has become a nationwide phenomenon. Vincent Van Gogh , whose exhibition at the Royal Academy, according to the U.K.’s Times Online , garnered far fewer visitors by comparison, has decided to shoot himself once again over being ignored for a far sunnier mainstream. The sound of the birds hopping on the guitars somewhat resembles the sound of a band tuning up before a live performance. While the birds can’t actually produce songs, they can reproduce the pre-concert sound you hear when waiting in line at the bathroom, or the concession stand, or realizing that some jerk in an Affliction shirt is sitting in your seat, even though your ticket clearly states that this is your row, and now you’re stuck standing in the aisle wishing you had gone to that dumb bird thing instead, like your had girlfriend suggested.
