That's Bionic Commando producer Ben Judd. He's got opinions on many things. Hideo Kojima, for example, Ben Judd has an opinion on Hideo Kojima. About the Metal Gear Solid creator, Judd offers: I liked Metal Gear Solid 4, with the exception of the story. I like Kojima's stories, but they keep getting longer and longer. He needs to put the clamps on himself and only give himself 30 minutes. If he did that I'm sure they'd be fantastic. So it seems Judd thinks Kojima needs either an editor or the ability to show self-restraint. Agree? Disagree? Oh! Judd also weighs in on that "easy as hell" game BioShock . That, after the jump: BioShock was easy as Hell, I don't care what anybody says. That's what people want. They want to play through it. They want to die once or twice. It's like an interactive movie, sort of. Gamers have lost their will to continually drill down on something. It's also the fault of the developers. If you make enough restart points; if you make it so that if you die you can restart and retry without having to go back for an hour, which is not the right way to do it, I think people will keep trying something. EGM 's resident rumor specialist Quartermann has set his eyes on Capcom , who has recently enjoyed success via its massive catalog of classic games. According to Quartermann in the latest issue of EGM, Capcom may be reaching into that classic gaming bag again. The rumored target for a remake is Strider Hiryu, the blue-clad ninja dude who starred in Strider and Strider 2 . There hasn't been a Strider Hiryu game since 1999's Strider 2 , but Quartermann posits that Capcom may be readying him for a new Devil May Cry -style action game. Is this the ace they mentioned a while back? Another rumor on EGM's pages is that Hideo Kojima has been visiting various first-person shooter development studios like Infinity Ward and Guerrilla Games. Will we be seeing an FPS from the man who has said that they make him physically ill? Who knows? Like with every rumor, all we can do is take things with a grain of salt and wait. Filed under: Culture , Action EGM's rumor-mongering editor amalgamation Quartermann has some info on another Capcom franchise that may get an update. Apparently Strider could be the next classic character to get a Bionic Commando upgrade, with the Q-mann saying that it could take on Devil May Cry-style gameplay. The other tidbit is that Metal Gear Solid guru Hideo Kojima may be working on a first-person shooter. Allegedly Kojima has been to FPS studios Infinity Ward ( Call of Duty 4 ) and Guerrilla Games ( Killzone 2 ) for reasons unknown. Maybe he's just trying to learn how to make a proper better multiplayer experience? One of the long running jokes about the Metal Gear Solid franchise is series creator Hideo Kojima's repeated attempts to distance himself from new installments. He said he was done after MGS2 but then ended up working on MGS3. Then he said he was done for realz after MGS3 but ended up working on part 4. Most recently he said that MGS4 was absolutely going to be his last MGS game --which may or may not be the case. In a recent Metal Gear Solid 4 Afterthoughts interview with Hideo Kojima we got him to explain exactly what his involvement will be with the next game. As it turns out, he's still waiting to find out himself. I have three concepts for MGS5 already. What would be ideal for me with MGS5, though, is that we don't do those. If the team picks one of those concepts, I have to get involved again, which I don't want to do. There are already so many good ideas from the staff, so if we select one of those, that would be really good. At that point I could really rely on them and take the step back to be the producer, which is the ideal situation, I think. As Kojima explains in the interview , much of the MGS4 team is now returning from vacation, so the direction of the next Metal Gear Solid game will likely be decided soon. Either way, how much you want to bet Kojima is involved?Interestingly, if Kojima doesn't work on MGS5, he plans to develop a brand new title -- one that's very different. ...

Metal Gear mastermind Hideo Kojima said that three concepts for the Solid series's still yet-to-be announced fifth installment are already lurking within his mind. But, is he willing to step in again and be involved in the title's development? In 1UP's feature interview with the man himself, Kojima said: "I would like to just make a new game, and the younger staff can work on the new MGS projects...I have three concepts for MGS5 already.
