Omar Khadr will not be allowed to see an independent psychologist, a judge has ruled. In a ruling issued yesterday, Guantanamo Bay military commission judge Colonel Patrick Parrish denied a number of requests made by Mr. Khadr's U.S. military defence lawyer. In one such ruling, the judge agreed that Mr. Khadr, 21, should see a clinical psychologist or developmental psychiatrist. However, Col. Parrish denied a defence request to assign its own expert, directing the prosecution in the case to find a government substitute.
