Thought y'all might enjoy this. Long time reader, finally registered. OTS, love the stuff. Great taste in music on the site, too. How come no Chris Whitley love though? One of my faves of all time. And let's not forget Ryan Bingham and Jackie Green. Josh Ritter is pretty good, too. (Most of those plugs are to fill in the 75 word minimum - still though, Christ Whitley.) I'm actually pretty impressed with their description of Hilary! I've read presenter ad copy about her far worse than this. It's quite well-written and accurate, actually. Maybe I'll start reading Playboy for the articles. Hilary Hahn Who she is: A serious-minded violinist who isn't afraid to find partners outside classical music She'll play a Bach partita and then join Josh Ritter for a duet, but for all her adventurousness, Hahn is still an appealing all-American girl. Her first album was entirely of solo Bach works, which showed she meant business, and she recently scored an iTunes hit with Arnold Schoenberg's crunchy Violin Concerto. If classical music needs its sexy librarian, we recommend Hahn for duty in the stacks.
