Former Nintendo chairman Hiroshi Yamauchi is officially Japan's Richest Man, reports Forbes. The 80-year-old Yamauchi retired from the company he turned from a playing card maker into the world's foremost maker of videogames in 2005, but remains a major shareholder. The exploding profits off the success of Nintendo DS and Wii mean that Yamauchi is now worth an estimated $7.8 billion.
