• "Fringe" is really starting to hit its groove. This week's episode was easily my favorite so far, thanks mostly to the addition of an antagonist (or is he?) in the form of the bald man in black, The Observer. He's played by Michael Cerveris, who told the tale of Sweeney Todd in the minimalist Broadway revival that cleaned up at the Tonys a few years back. The episode's final scene between Josh Jackson and John Noble gives me hope that Jackson's character will finally settle down and stop being so smarmy and screamy all the time. Can't wait for the next one, which comes in two weeks thanks to the second presidential debate. • The new so-called Coppola Restoration print of "The Godfather" is playing this week at the Music Box Theatre near Wrigley. Next week they show "The Godfather Part II." No love for Part III, though... read more ...

We were able to get some fascinating details about the secretive co-op mode (drop-in/drop-out confirmed!), as well as some interesting story tidbits (evidently this time around, Hale remembers he can talk). To start things off, could you give us a quick rundown of changes from the first Resistance ? Sure, there's a lot of course -- but in terms of the campaign we've put a lot more emphasis on Nathan Hale and that comes through in the story and how we're presenting the story. In R1 , it was much more of a narrative approach with Rachel Parker telling the story, giving it a third-person feel.
