Done yelling at the screen? Good, let's move on. It looks like another broken Democratic campaign promise... WASHINGTON - Rep. Dennis Kucinich, a former Democratic presidential contender, said Monday he wants the House to consider a resolution to Impeach President Bush. [snip] Kucinich, D-Ohio, read his proposed impeachment language in a floor speech. He contended Bush deceived the nation and violated his oath of office in leading the country into the Iraq war. Look people, you cannot Impeach a sitting president just because they are unpopular. You cannot rule by poll, it doesn't work. Canada has that kind of system and they can theoretically have a general election every year! We all know Nancy Pelosi has said impeachment was "off the table" even before Democrats took control of both houses of congress and she made sure to kill the impeachment of Dick Cheney. However that was last year and now general elections are in full swing. On top of all that, if you will notice who was sitting there overseeing Dennis Kucinich "speech" (or character assassination, take your pick) is none other than Nancy Pelosi! This is an outrage !! If Nancy Pelosi wanted too, she could take this to the Senate and have both Obama & McCain go on voting record on this resolution! McCain could be painted into a coner where he will be critize of being Bush's 3rd term, if he votes against impeachment of Bush! Please tell me were I'm going wrong here! [I know I said ...

Submitted Directly to ImpeachforPeace.org By Sherwood Ross If you, my fellow Americans, will not demand the impeachment of the worst president in American history, a man who is a traitor to our Constitution, a global tyrant, a destroyer of world peace and order, and a threat to the survival of human life on this planet, who will [...] ... Dear Representative Frank: I am writing to request again that you act to Impeach President Bush and Vice President Cheney. These individuals have openly stated that they have violated the Constitution. No further investigation is required. Their actions are beyond the pale of any action acceptable to me as a citizen of the US. To my prior request that you act on impeachment, you wrote that there is insufficient support for impeachment in the House and Senate and that following up on impeachment would alienate what little Republican support there is for other pressing matters, such as ending the war in Iraq and protecting civil liberties. read more ... Hilzoy: Obsidian Wings: Clueless : Cernig at Newshoggers posted an excerpt from a McClatchy article on Pakistan that includes this astonishing statement: "One thing we never understood is that India has always been the major threat for Pakistan," said former U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Wendy Chamberlain, now the president of the Middle East Institute. Just. Shoot. Me. Now. If we -- or at least those of us who are responsible for South Asia policy -- didn't understand this, we should have our collective heads examined. I'm trying to think of analogies: One thing we never understood is that China really cares about holding onto Tibet. One thing we never understood is that the idea of returning to what were once their homes is a big deal for Palestinians. One thing we never understood is that Israelis are really worried about being surrounded by hostile Arab countries. One thing we never understood is that poverty is a serious issue in India. Feel free to add your own suggestions below. Otherwise, open thread! ... Source: www.imvu.com --- 17 hours ago
http://okcitykid.bravejournal.com/ I keep hearing all these reasons why we should not EVEN TRY to Impeach Bush - to these who shiver over just the thought I ask, "well why not then open all the prison doors and let all the prisoners free and be fair about it." Why should the president of the United States be immune to justice. I even read one comment, we shouldn't Impeach him because he is the president. We the people made him president. Now that must be a really smart person, I bet he went to college, I didn't, I guess I'm not that smart, because I always thought that's why we Impeach presidents because they are president, otherwise, we wouldn't Impeach them, we would just have them arrested. There must be justice for everyone who breaks the law especially the president, otherwise we have no justice. Our country will only get worse if we don't Impeach the president and it will only get better if we do. When I talk money, people don't like to hear it, because we are all guilty of loving money. Money we are taught makes us happy and the goal is to get as much of it as you can, so therefor the most righteous is the richest, so our subconscious tells us. In this regard, Bush is seen by many as a very righteous man having made many rich, or better off because of this invented war on terror. Stock brokers, investors, oil companies, OPEC, and even federal and state governments who profit off royalty taxes of gas and oil. I suspect, and I bet ... From BBC News : Pakistan's ruling coalition parties say they have agreed "in principle" to start impeachment proceedings against President Pervez Musharraf. Wow. I guess Musharraf mustn't be the all-powerful evil-overlord dictator we thought he was, if he can be impeached. I mean, otherwise he'd just, I dunno, dissolve parliament or something, and it's not like he can do that or anything, right? Last year, he gave up control of the army, the country's most powerful institution, but he retains the power to dissolve parliament. Oh. Will someone please tell Nancy Pelosi about this? McClatchy Newspapers - ISLAMABAD, Pakistan— The feuding leaders of Pakistan's ruling coalition said Thursday that they'll Impeach President Pervez Musharraf, a move that could trigger political upheaval in a crisis-torn nation that's crucial to the Bush administration's war on terrorism and to the conflict in neighboring Afghanistan. ...

Disorderly conduct charges were dismissed Wednesday against two DuPage County war protesters after the main witness did not show up in court to testify against them. Jeff Zurawski, 40, of Downers Grove and Sarah Hartfield, 45, of Naperville were charged after they placed a banner that read "Impeach Bush and Cheney--Liars" on the Great Western Trail footbridge overlooking Interstate Highway 355 near Glen Ellyn for several hours May 6, 2007. ...

Artist: Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young Review: The highlight of this soundtrack to CSNY: Déjà Vu, Neil Young's film about the group's 2006 Freedom of Speech Tour, comes after Young sings "Let's Impeach the President" to an Atlanta audience that suddenly divides like Congress, equally booing and cheering. The performance proves that material from Young's Living With War, an indictment of the Bush regime, wasn't just aimed at the converted. Young's songs are the true rocket-launchers on Déjà Vu Live. His squiggly guitar blasts also act as the... Rating: 3 Stars ... Find more results for Impeach Bush on RSSMicro.com |
