I have just finished reading an article writen by Hans A. Von Spakovsky that was written on August 4th 2008 in the Cutting Edge that states that our governments Accountability Office has found that 3percent of the 30,000 individuals that was called for jury Duty in Flordia the last two years were found not to be U.S. Citizens but instead they were here Illegally. And to be called for Jury Duty you must be regestered to vote. Now if they have that many in just one state and we go on the assumpition that it is 3% all over the U.S., then we must have our heads up our you know what, to think for one minute that they can control who is in Office. Now I know why so many of the pollititions are out there doing everything to pass over immigratition and want to let more of them come here and take our jobs at the same time bankrupting our Hospitals. Now it is easy to Register to vote they don't have to prove they are citizens they just tell who ever is at the counter where they live and they are done then they take this and get their Drivers Licencese. We must stop this by making anyone that votes have their Birth Certiticate or they cannot vote. Every time one of them vote then we should catch them and send them back to where they came until they can do the right thing for the right to live here. Wake Up America and tell everyone we vote into Office that they are there for us LEGAL Citizens. Close All of Our Borders with the Military before the ... Source: newsbusters.org --- 17 days ago
The Associated Press used Orwellian language to transform Illegal immigrants, their families, and the businesses that broke the law by hiring them - into "victims." In the August 16 article , "A small town struggles after immigration raid," AP writer Monica Rhor describes Postville, Iowa, the site of a major immigration raid three months ago that led to the arrest of hundreds of Illegal immigrants. She describes those in the town who were affected by the raid as "victims." Rhor writes: It was as if a tornado had whipped through the town or a flood had swallowed up houses. A disaster. Man-made, but a disaster all the same. Three months after the raid, that's how many in Postville describe the events of May 12. Lives disrupted. People pushed out of jobs and homes. Children separated from parents. Businesses verging towards collapse. And as in any small town swept by disaster, the community quickly banded together to help the victims. But wait a minute: they're not victims . It seems silly to have to belabor the obvious point that the Illegal immigrants arrested were (alleged) lawbreakers, but it needs to be done. And if the Illegal immigrants' family members who remain at large are present in the U.S. illegally, then they too are not victims: they're lawbreakers. The businesses in the town that hired the Illegal immigrants are also not victims: if management knew of the workers' legal status, they're lawbreakers as well. Perhaps we ... On the August 4 edition of his nationally syndicated radio program, Michael Savage declared that "the Statue of Liberty" has been "raped and disheveled by Illegal Aliens." Discussing the Italian government's decision to deploy soldiers on city streets to combat violent crime for which, according to The New York Times , "Illegal immigrants are broadly blamed," Savage stated: "Things are so bad in Europe that the Italians have put soldiers, military on their streets. Now, you have to understand what it means by things are so bad. The Illegal immigrants, mainly Muslims and Africans, are out of control." He then added: "So they've done there what we need to do here. We need to get our troops out of Iraq and put them on the streets of America to protect us from the scourge of Illegal immigrants who are running rampant across America, killing our police for sport, raping, murdering like a scythe across America while the liberal psychos are telling us they come here to work." Later in the program, Savage said "[t]he local comic books that nobody buys anymore called newspapers" are ignoring what is happening in Italy, and added: "No truth, no reality, no stories -- you turn on the cable news, they're covering again a missing child. Not a missing country but a missing child. ... We hear about the rape of a woman, but not about the rape of the Statue of Liberty. An Alabama county’s policy requiring vendors to pledge in writing that they do not knowingly employ Illegal immigrants is being legally challenged for being unconstitutional and a judge could decide the law’s fate next week. Located in the heart of the Tennessee Valley and sandwiched between Mississippi and Georgia, Alabama’s Madison County passed the law about ten months ago to assure that public dollars weren’t being used to pay Illegal immigrants hired by companies fulfilling county contracts. The anti-Illegal alien pledge policy simply requires firms seeking county contracts to submit in writing that they do not knowingly employ Illegal immigrants. A construction company, that recently lost a multi million-dollar contract because it didn’t abide by the policy, is suing the county claiming the policy contradicts federal law. Attorneys for Wiregrass Construction, which was seeking a major paving deal, claim the pledge is unconstitutional and wades into immigration issues that are exclusive territory of the federal government. The attorneys assure that “every single requirement contradicts federal law.” Similar policies meant to restrict employment of Illegal immigrants have been passed by municipalities and states nationwide and some have been legally defeated while others have triumphed in court. Some haven’t met legal challenges and have been successfully enforced. For instance, the executive of Anne Arundel County Maryland (Jo ... Source: app.feeddigest.com --- 9 days ago
Re: “Suthers' plea mostly futile,” Aug. 23 editorial. Your editorial said it is unlikely Colorado can obtain full reimbursement for the costs of incarcerating Illegal Aliens in the state's jails and prisons. That part is correct, but you place the blame for that misfortune in the wrong place. First, The Post should get its numbers straight. Attorney General John Suthers cited the cost calculated by the state's Department of Corrections. That figure for fiscal year 2007 was $39, 832,159. Suthers compares this cost to the paltry $3,307,436 paid to CDOC by the federal reimbursement program. But that is not the whole picture. Neither the CDOC nor the attorney general calculated the cost of incarcerating Illegal alien criminals incurred by Colorado's county jails - an amount that is larger than the CDOC costs. According to the 2007 report of the federal government's State Criminal Alien Assistance Program (SCAAP), which is available to the public and to The Denver Post through the program's USDOJ website, 26 Colorado counties received $3,751,377 in SCAAP reimbursements. This means that the total costs to all Colorado jurisdictions is not the $39.8 million calculated by the CDOC, but over $85 million and possibly as high as $100 million. According to the SCAAP report, over 4,000 Illegal Aliens passed through the state's jails and prisons in 2007, but this number includes only the most serious criminals who qualify for reimbursement und ...  Border Patrol agents in Yuma arrested three Illegal Aliens with extensive criminal histories and immigration violations in two separate incidents Wednesday.  At about 6 p.m., agents discovered a set of footprints leading away from the Colorado River near County 8th Street - "a high-traffic area," said Border Patrol spokesman Ben Vik. Vik said agents tracked the prints for about two miles to a field where they found an Illegal alien trying to evade them.  A fingerprint check identified him as Juan Francisco-Flores and revealed a criminal history originating in the late 1980s. ...
