The National Institutes of Health (NIH) has awarded the new IU Light Microscopy Imaging Center a $930,000 grant to expand its services. The Bloomington facility will use the money to purchase a new high-tech imager, which uses a rapidly moving robotic arm to take individual pictures of as many as 384 specimens on a single plate.
