Nokia E71 The E71 looks more like a Blackberry Killer, but don’t be fooled, this great white hope from Finland is a smart device that gives the IPhone a run for its money in a lot of different areas (yes,... Presented By: Exception Handling and Cancellation in TBB - Part III – Use cases with nested parallelism    Now that we’ve familiarized ourselves with the simple scenarios in the previous part of this post, let’s consider more complex, but nevertheless ubiquitous use case of nested parallelism (maybe it is even more widespread that non-nested usages). When we considered a standalone algorithm, canceling any of its tasks naturally caused unconditional cancellation of all its other [...] www.threadingbuildingblocks.org >> Read more Ads by Pheedo ...

Pandora’s internet radio has always been one of those sites that was really cool in concept, but too inconvenient to ever go mainstream. The service was long tied to computers only, and while it eventually expanded to special internet radios and some mobile phones, it still has yet to become a household [...] ...

Ars Technica has a wonderful and comprehensive review of the IPhone 3G, with many tasty details and measurements and geeky photo close-ups of the object of adoration. Whether it's faster Web speeds, security for business users or using the phone's direction-finding capability to let it act as a game controller or location-aware device, it's software, not hardware, that should define the IPhone from here out. - SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - The first iPhones won praise for their sleek design and elegant touchscreen, but Apple's new computer phones, arriving this week, will use the power of software to make the device like no phone ever seen. Whether it's faster Web speeds, security for business users or u... ...

You can’t get away from news about the IPhone 3G these days. Whether it is reading about the long lines people stood in to get one, the wait for Apple and AT&T to fix sign up snafus, the short battery life at optimal settings, or other bits of news, it is out there to be waded through in a hunt for facts. So what gems are buried under the heap of trash talking? One of the biggest is the IPhone Apps Store. Launching with over 550 Apps from day one, this is the [...] ...

It has been almost one week and a half since I got the IPhone 3G. It doesn't change my life drastically but some of good things have been found. The Killer app is AirMe . It's what I'm looking for. The best Flickr client, ever. It's simple to use. Just take a photo with the app. It will upload a photo to Flickr with a bunch of tags like "San Francisco", "California", "United States", "Sunny". And also, it's geotagging with IPhone 3G A-GPS. pertty good. It's like a Eye-Fi Explorer . You can see those photos on my photo map. http://www.flickr.com/photos/sekimura/map Read and post comments | Send to a friend ...

I’m a bit of an IPhone fanboy, it’s true. However, Fred Wilson’s post on mobile apps has me thinking - the main reason I carry an IPhone as well as a BlackBerry is the IPhone’s browser. The rest of the stuff is great, but the Killer app is the browser. And the BlackBerry has its own [...] ...
