A panel of experts assembled by Israel's most powerful television channel honored Israeli Mossad Chief Meir Dagan as the nation's "man of the year" for, among other things, killing Hezbollah commander Imad Mughniyah in the Syrian capital in February, according to a recent report in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz. Up until now, Israel has publicly refused to acknowledge any role in the car bomb blast that killed Mughniyah, who was suspected of masterminding attacks on Israeli targets around the world and was believed to have been the brains behind the Hezbollah militia's surprise performance in the 2006 war with Israel. Many in Syria and Lebanon suspect the Jewish state's security services had a hand in the assassination. But according to Haaretz journalist and frequent government critic Gideon Levy, the Israeli Channel 2 panel last week cited "the killing of senior Hezbollah leader Imad Mughniyeh in Damascus, a few more mysterious and unnecessary killings and, of course, the bombing of the alleged nuclear site in Syria" as accomplishments that made Dagan deserving of 'at least 10 Israel Prizes.'" The television station aired rare footage of outgoing Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert meeting Dagan in his office telling him, "You did well," according to Levy. Levy quoted political analyst Emmanuel Rosen praising the selection:[He is] a man who has done only good. [He is] a man who would cut the throats of terrorists with his own han ...

By Debbie Schlussel You've heard of Mazen Asbahi , who resigned as head of Obama's Muslim campaign after news of his ties to the Muslim Brotherhood came to light (and who is reportedly still working with Obama, anyway). You've also heard of Minha Husaini , the current head of Obama's Muslim outreach, who attended a meeting with open anti-Semites and terrorism co-conspirators. Now, meet Majida Mourad , the beauty school grad who falsified federal employment and top secret security clearance forms and gave details of security for our nuclear weapons to Muslim nations on the State Department terrorist list. Majida Mourad heads both Muslim-Americans for McCain and Arab-Americans for McCain, and is a lobbyist for Arab and Muslim nations. Majida Mourad (w/BoyToy Jim Kimsey): Heads Up Muslim-Americans for McCain, Has One Up on "Grease"'s Frenchy Mourad has many former top co-workers from the Department of Energy seeing red because it is well known that she lied on federal employment and top secret security clearance forms--a federal crime--and got away with it, with the help of her friend, then-Secretary of Energy, and now partner, fellow Lebanese Arab-American Spencer Abraham . Both Abraham and Mourad are partners in The Abraham Group , which represents Arab and Muslim nations lobbying America. When Abraham became Secretary of Energy, he enlisted the White House to appoint Mourad as one of his top Energy advisors. But upon applying for the ...

The United States asked the U.N. nuclear monitoring agency Thursday for a fuller accounting of its probe of Syria's alleged efforts to secretly develop a plutonium-producing facility at a site bombed by Israel. A senior Syrian envoy in turn accused Washington of using "twisted logic" in pressuring his country instead of condemning the Israeli attack. "When you shield the aggressor and when you accuse the victim it is ... being not only an accessory to the crimes committed, but also encouraging more crimes," Syrian Ambassador Mohammed Badi Khattab told The Associated Press. He urged whatever U.S. administration takes office next year to play a more active role in Turkish-mediated Syrian-Israeli efforts to reach a peace agreement. "Without the U.S. being in the negotiations, there is no guarantee that what you agree upon will be implemented," he said. Because the U.S. is "the only country that has this unique relationship with Israel, ... (it) has the duty to influence its position in moving forward," said Khattab. The United States has hung back from directly engaging Syria, insisting it must stop support for Lebanon's Hezbollah and other groups labeled by Washington as terrorists. Khattab is also his country's Chief delegate to the International Atomic Energy Agency. He spoke after U.S. Chief representative Gregory L. Schulte suggested his country was dissatisfied with a brief oral report on the status of an IAEA probe of allegat ...

The U.S. plans to sell Israel 1,000 buster-bunker bombs which Israeli military experts said Monday could provide a powerful new weapon against underground arsenals in Lebanon or Gaza. The experts said they doubted, however, that the bombs could be used to deliver a crippling blow against Iran's nuclear program. In announcing the proposed $77 million deal, which still needs Congressional approval, the U.S. Defense Department said the sale of the Boeing GBU-39 smart bombs would be consistent with the U.S. interest of assisting Israel "to develop and maintain a strong and ready self-defense capability." The Pentagon issued a release on the planned sale on Sept. 9. Because it is a precision weapon that generates far less collateral damage than heavier munitions, "this bomb is going to be the general-purpose bomb of the next generation," said Yiftah Shapir, a military analyst at Tel Aviv's Institute of National Security Studies. He said possible targets would include "Katyusha launchers in Lebanon or Qassam (rocket) launchers in Gaza." Shlomo Brom, the Israeli military's former Chief of strategic planning, noted an increasing tendency to place weapons underground. In Israel's 2006 war against Lebanon's Hezbollah guerrilla group, "one of our problems had been that they put many of the rocket launchers in bunkers and fortifications underground ," Brom said. One hardened target the military went after in that war was the bunker of Hezboll ...

By Debbie Schlussel At a press conference yesterday, Homeland Security Chief Michael Chertoff warned that Americans have become too complacent about the terrorist threat . Tell it to your mirror, Mike. Today, on the Seventh Anniversary of the 9/11 Islamic terrorist attacks that murdered 3,000 Americans, Chertoff's department continues to promote people connected with those who would kill us and have already murdered plenty of Americans. That includes Sandy Dubner Todaro, Assistant Special Agent in Charge of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) for Michigan and Ohio. The House That Hezbollah Built . . . ICE Officials Roy Bailey's and Sandy Dubner's Former Alleged Joint Residence If you're like me, you know that the most important national security issue is immigration. Today, we have 12-20 million illegal aliens in our midst. Many of them are Muslim aliens who do not wish us well. And, sadly, ICE has done nothing to round up Muslim student, tourist, agricultural worker, and religious worker visa violators and overstayers. Some estimates say there are over 500,000 of these, but we don't know how many for sure. And that's where Mrs. Todaro comes in. You see, before she married her current husband, she was Sandy Dubner, and her fellow ICE agents say she was living with Roy M. Bailey in a romantic relationship in the house pictured above on Willow Court in Romulus, Michigan. Bailey was Assistant District Director/Supervisory Deportatio ...
