Due to customers' complaints over Rock Band 's strict 60-day warranty, MTV has changed its stance and will now allow customers with faulty peripherals for the game to be covered by the warranty even without proof of purchase. The new policy is in effect as of today. Harmonix has admitted that the bundles for the initial November 2007 launch of the game had experienced manufacturing difficulties that left a few rocker wannabes with non-working or defective instruments.
