Welcome to AA ! After purchasing a ticket for my sister recently AA charged me the triple amount of the ticket price after several calls to reservations since the train tickets needed to be added. However the ticket was supposed to be a paper ticket. Suddenly an e-ticket confirmation arrived with the new price of 3x the total  Called AA, on the phone for about 1:10 h and the final answer they cant do anything and to call back next day. Did that and they told me everything would be fine. Ticket should be picked up at the airport. Well, then a look on my Bank Account confirms they took the full overcharge. Another call to AA, they would refund me but it could take weeks. Then at the airport nobody knows of anything regarding a reissue, 2 agents and a supervisor had no clue and refused to call the rate desk. So my sister flies to FRA without the train tickets and asks the staff there to reissue the ticket. We got the PNR printed by the agent in LAX and it definetely shows QYG as segment. So they print her 2 cupons but it says now Accessrail Inc instead of DB German Rail. Result: She had to buy a new train ticket for a full price of 126 EUR :td: Few days later I open my mail and find a transportation voucher from AA for the difference. So instead of giving me my money back they send me a voucher ! I'm not a lawyer but this cant be legal, after all it is their fault. So I called my Bank to dispute the charge and got the money back int ... Source: www.dw-world.de --- 15 days ago

Excerpt: One way to look at the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan is to see them as one war with two fronts. Germany fought two-front wars twice in the 20th century, and it was almost able to prevail because it had the advantage of interior lines. The German Army could quickly shift divisions and corps from the Eastern to the Western front or vice versa, using the superb German Rail system. Unfortunately, the US lacks the advantage of interior lines in its ongoing two-front war. No railways run from Baghdad to Kabul. ... Source: weblog.greenpeace.org --- 2 days ago

If the only problem with the TTC 's subway lines was the smell, there would be a lot less hang-wringing at city hall. That's the problem administrators with Berlin's public Rail system have decided to busy themselves with, evidently because everything else works. The idea for air fresheners came from an internal competition for improvements to the Rail line. “We basically want to enhance the public transport experience in Berlin,” S-Bahn spokesperson Burkhard Ahlert told DW-World.de , a German website. Plans are for a trial run in 100 of the city's 620 trains. The administration hasn't settled on a fragrance yet, but aroma tests are scheduled for November. The S-Bahn will make sure commuters won't have allergic reactions to any of the ingredients, Mr. Ahlert said. Oh, if the TTC could be this lucky. The Red Rocket got 24,654 complaints in 2007 , and you can bet they weren't about the smell. Eric Lam ... Find more results for German Rail on RSSMicro.com |
