Bungie has revealed more on the upcoming expansion to Halo 3 at the 2008 TGS and I'm loving what I'm seeing so far on their upcoming project. The new addition will tell the story of events leading up to Master Chief heading back to Earth in the beginning of Halo 3. As everyone has expected this will be from an ODST characters point of view as well. The only problem now is the wait for Fall 2009 to experience this game. I'm not sure what the January date in the earlier Clip is referring to now. Watch the extend Clip that was shown at the TGS and then read more about the game details that Xbox.com released. Flipping through the channels on TV last night, I stumbled upon the CBS sitcom “ The Big Bang Theory .” The show is about two socially inept physicists who live next door to a boisterous blonde waitress (I’ve never seen the show before). Now what does this have to do with “ Age of Conan “? Well, last night’s episode featured one of the main characters, physicist Sheldon, playing the game. He starts spouting things like “AFK,” which the in-studio audience (or canned laughter?) finds hilarious. Then the blonde woman Penny becomes obsessed with it. On the heels of Tekken 6 being announced for the Xbox 360 , we can now confirm that it will be coming out on the PlayStation 3 as well. Sony fans, take a deep breath. It'll be okay. The confirmation came at the end of Namco-Bandai's English press event, where they also showed trailers for Dragon Ball Origins , Eternal Sonata , and other games that had been previously revealed. The announcement came with a brief Gameplay Clip and the date Fall 2009. So all is not lost, but it can't be the greatest feeling in the world for Sony to watch yet another exclusive slip away to a more multiplatform era. But if the Google -owned video behemoth has its way, everyone and their mother (and father, sister, and brother) will soon spend as much time shopping on the site as they do watching videos. In a partnership starting with Apple's iTunes Store and online retailer Amazon , YouTube will place conveniently located buttons to purchase, say, the song or videogame used in the music video or Gameplay Clip, respectively, that you are watching. The generated revenue will then be shared with the applicable retailer. It's unclear how YouTube will split the revenue-sharing with folks who post user-created content that utilizes said music, game, or other product in their videos, but given a possible three-way split between YouTube, the retailer, and the user, expect some pretty low margins. We'll have to see how unobtrusive the actual implementation is, but given the amount of music videos and videogame clips found on YouTube , iTunes and Amazon are probably the two best retailers to partner with. A "Buy Now" button isn't too different from a standard Google ad besides being a bit more targeted, but hey, at least they're trying.
