KIRKSVILLE — The Kirksville Fire Department is hosting free seminars to organize a Community Emergency Response Team and teach survival fundamentals after a disaster. Classes will begin Oct. 9 at the Fire Department starting at 6:30 p.m. Approximately 20 hours of training will be spread over seven weeks. CERT classes will teach citizens skills to survive in the wake of a disaster while waiting for professional assistance.
