At Universal CityWalk's Gibson Amphitheatre, two of our favorite '80s bands, the Jesus and Mary Chain along with the amazing and under-sung Gang of Four, headline Live Nation's two-stage Download Festival. The whole shebang (which includes newcomers Brand New, Mutemath, Yeasayer, M83 and the Duke Spirit) started at 1:30 p.m. And at the Hollywood Bowl, Canadian pop songstress Feist performs at 7 p.m. She may be an "indie darling," but you've heard her voice and catchy ditties backing advertisements for Verizon and Apple iPods.
