My Family just had a Reunion this year. It was fairly successful with over 100 people attending. We want to have another on in 5 yrs and are in beginning planning stages. The big stick so far is where to have it. The last time was in a hometown of sorts in NY state. There were not a lot of things to do there and we had no real time to just hang out with each other. its been suggested that we have it at a place that is more central and has activities and space where we can hang out. my Family is half broke, over weight, most have been through rehab and have diabetes. so im looking for suggestions on where we could have it. east coast is best, nothing further west than Tennessee. space to accommodate 100 people or so not overly expensive. not alcohol dependent good for city slickers and country folk. any ideas? because i am stumped. ... A Swon Family Reunion was held the last weekend in August at the home of Ken and Sandy Swon of Perry. This was the first Family Reunion in 20 or more years. A total of 87 people attended, with the farthest anyone traveled being from Pennsylvania. The Family came from the Kansas City and Chicago areas, as well as all points in between. Family and friends spent the day telling tales of days past and catching up on the happenings of today. Some threw horseshoes and played baseball. We have a Reunion every 3 years as the Family lives coast to coast. We used to summer in the Adirondacks so this year that is where we went. The photo is taken on teh steps of the great B&B we stayed at on 4th Lake where we used to own property. The shirts were a HUGE hit; my son designed the logo from a photo my dad took probably 40+years ago on our property. I couldn't get everyone to wear their shirts for the photo - sorry about that! ...
